Auxiliary Fan
The auxiliary fan (M4) serves for cooling the coolant and refrigerant
The auxiliary fan (M4) is switched on with infinite speed control depending on the refrigerant pressure and/or coolant temperature.
The push-button control module (N19, N22) receives the coolant temperature from the ECT sensor (B11/4) and the refrigerant pressure from the refrigerant pressure sensor (B12) via the serial interface (K1) in the instrument cluster (A1). This input information is relayed on by the push-button control module (N19, N22) to the cycle module (N65) or the AIR control module (N65/1). Here the input information is compared with stored values and the auxiliary fan (M4) switched on if necessary.
Control of the auxiliary fan (M4) is accomplished as follows:
- Actuation on engines 104, 111, 602, 604, 605 and 606 from 09/95 to 08/96 and engine 119 is accomplished by the cycle module (N65).
- Actuation on engines 104, 602, 604, 605 and 606 from 09/96 to 02/97 is accomplished by the AIR control module (N65/1)
- Actuation on engines 113, 602, 604, 605 and 606 as of 03/97 and engine 112 is accomplished by the signal acquisition and actuation module (N10/1) to the AIR control module (N65/1).
