Remove/install exhaust manifold

Removing, installing
1 Separate plug connection of O2 sensors
2 Remove exhaust system complete
3.1 Remove air cleaner


NOTE: When removing the right-hand exhaust


NOTE:
On model 210.074/274 the air cleaner should always be removed. The air cleaner is integrated in the trim panel of the cylinder head cover.
Pull air cleaner off cylinder head covers by lifting vertically up.


4 Unbolt hot water circulation pump and place to the side


NOTE: When removing right-hand exhaust manifold.


5 Remove ignition coils
6 Remove exhaust manifold (156)


NOTE: Take both exhaust manifolds down and out.


NOTE: Installation:
- Replace nuts (156/1).
- Refer to Exhaust Manifold below
- Replace gaskets (156/5).


NOTE: If bolts at flange connection of front exhaust system/exhaust manifold are stiff or threads damaged:
- replace rivet nuts in exhaust manifold


- Caulking bolt
- Refer to Special Tool below
- Refer to Exhaust Manifold below

7 Install in the reverse order
