AR22.10-P-1100CV Remove/Install Engine Mounts



Remove, Install Engine Mounts







1 Disconnect ground cable of battery, connect

NOTE:
- Only necessary if the right-hand engine mount is removed.
- Installation: After connecting, read fault memory, encode radio and normalize power windows.
- Models with stationary heater: Set clock of stationary heater.

2 Take off poly V-belt
3 Remove generator (1)

NOTE: Only necessary if the right-hand engine mount is removed.

4 Remove engine trim panel
5 Separate connector (G3/3x1) of 02 sensor

NOTE: Only necessary for removing the left engine mount.

6 Remove middle engine panel
7 Fit on engine supporting frame
8 Remove shield of steering (2).

NOTE: Only necessary for removing the left engine mount.

9 Remove exhaust pipe (3)

NOTE: Only necessary for removing the left engine mount.

10 Unscrew bolts (4) of engine mounts (5) at engine supports

11 Remove shield of engine mount (6)

NOTE: Installation: The recesses in the shields must be located in the anti-twist locks of the engine supports.

12 Raise engine

CAUTION:
- Ensure that the rear of the engine does not touch the body
- Do not over-tension coolant hoses
- Do not damage drive shafts and cup seals


13 Unscrew bolts (7) of engine mounts (5) at front axle carrier
14 Remove engine mounts (5)

NOTE: Environmental protection regulations for disposal of engine mounts

CAUTION: Installation: The anti-twist locks (arrows) at the engine mounts (5) must be located in the retaining slots (arrows) of the engine supports.

Dispose engine mounts into mixed scrap.

15 Install in the reverse order
16 Read diagnostic trouble code memory and erase
- Stored faults which can result from cables being disconnected or from simulation during removal and installation or test work, have to be processed and erased in the fault memories after completing the work.
