AR77.20-P-1100M Adjusting Tilting/Sliding Roof Panel
Removing, installing
1 Push lining to rear
2 Open tilting/sliding roof approx. 10 cm
3 Remove cover (2)
NOTE: Push cover (2) away on the outside using a plastic wedge (see arrow) before pulling off.
4 Move tilting/sliding roof to tilt position
5 Remove rail (3) from rubber bellows (4) in direction of arrow
CAUTION: Unclip the rail at the front first.
6 Detach rubber bellows (4) from tilting/sliding roof panel (1) to gain access to the torx bolts (5)
CAUTION: Do not damage the rubber bellows.
Adjusting
7 Close tilting/sliding roof panel from the tilt position
8 Slacken torx bolts (5)
Torx bit set
- See "Special Tools" below.
9 Insert cardboard strip (6) into seal joint at rear (see arrows)
NOTE: Cardboard strip (6): 500 mm long and approx. 2 mm thick.
10 Adjust tilting/sliding roof panel (1) in relation to exterior roof surface
- Gap dimensions
- Tilting/sliding roof panel, front: 0.15 mm
- Tilting/sliding roof panel, at sides and rear: 0.30 mm
NOTE: Before adjusting the height, the tilting/sliding roof panel must always be closed from the tilt position.
- Height adjustment:
- Measurement position "A" (x): 140 mm
- Front: lower than outer roof surface: 0 - 1 mm
- Rear: higher than outer roof surface: 0 - 1 mm
11 Tighten torx bolts (5)
- Bolt, tilting/sliding roof panel to tilting bracket mount: 4 Nm
NOTE:
- First tighten the rear bolt and then the front bolt on one side only. Repeat this procedure on the opposite side.
- When tightening the rear bolts, press towards the rear and slightly downwards with the screwdriver (arrows).
12 Check tilting/sliding roof for proper function and fit
13 Install in the reverse order
NOTE: If there is wind noise, Adjust seal on tilting/sliding roof panel.
