Tripping Alarm With Panic Switch, Function
The panic alarm function can be triggered with the remote control key. When the panic button on the remote control key is pressed it sends a radio frequency signal. The signal is received by the vehicle and after checking relayed to the pneumatic system equipment (PSE) control module (combined, A37). The anti-theft alarm then triggers an optical and acoustic alarm.
The alarm can be terminated by pressing the panic button again or by inserting the remote control key into the key opening on the electronic ignition switch (EIS) control module (N73).
NOTE: As of June 98 the maximum duration for the panic alarm is 3 min.
