Glass Breakage Sensor, Function

When a window is broken the conductor circuit is interrupted. This interruption in the circuit is registered by the left or right infrared transmitter and receiver (A26/4, A26/5).

On the 210 T-model the rear window defroster element (R1) is used as the sensor for the rear window. An interruption in this circuit is registered by the PSE control module (combined) (A37).
