Electrical Control Unit

LOCATION
- Screwed onto the shift plate.

TASK
- To receive various input signals and convert the control module
information into hydraulic functions

DESIGN
- The electrical control unit consists of a plastic supporting body in which the electrical components RPM sensors (Y3/6l1, Y3/6l2), modulator pressure regulating solenoid valves (Y3/6y1, Y3/6y2), solenoid valves (Y3/6y3, Y3/6y4, Y3/6y5), the PWM solenoid valve (Y3/6y6), the starter interlock contact (Y3/6s1) and the temperature sensor (Y3/6b1) are combined. Printed conductors which are inserted in the supporting body make the connection between the electrical components and a pain connector.

- The connection to the wiring harness on the vehicle side and the transmission control module (electronic transmission control) is made via this 13-pin plug-in connector with a bayonet lock. Apart from the solenoid valves all the other electrical components are rigidly connected to the printed conductors

FUNCTION
- In the electrical control unit the electrical signals of the transmission control module (N15/3) are converted into hydraulic functions. The electrical components RPM sensors (Y3/6l1, Y3/6l2), starter interlock contact (Y3/6s1) and temperature sensor (Y3/6b1) of the electrical control unit supply the transmission control module (N15/3) with input signals. The solenoid valves are actuated by the transmission control module (N15/3) and trigger the hydraulic functions.
