Connecting Pressure Gauge to Rear Axle Oil Distributor Fitting

NOTE: Numbers in parentheses ( ) indicate a component or tool in the associated illustration.

WARNING:
^ Risk of injury to the eyes and other parts of the body due to hydraulic oil spraying old under high pressure.
^ Wear protective clothing and safety glasses.
^ Before starting work on the hydraulic system, depressurize the system.
^ Seal open lines with blind plugs.





CONNECTING TESTER:
1 Mount test hose (038e) and bleed screws (038n) on distributor (038r) of tester (038).
2 Unscrew oil drain plug on level controller (3).





3 Connect tester (038) with test hose (033e) to level controller (3), connection (S2).

DISCONNECTING TESTER
1. Connect oil drain hose to bleed screw (038n) on tester (038).
2. Open bleed screw (038n) slowly and collect the oil in a clean container.
- The oil collected can be reused.
3. Close bleed screw (038n) again.
4. Disconnect tester (038) with test hose.
5. Screw oil drain plug onto level controller (3), tighten to: 14 Nm.
