Task
Increasing engine torque and performance
Operation
For turbocharging, the kinetic flow energy of exhaust gas (C) is used to drive the exhaust gas turbocharger (110). The turbocharger (110) sucks in fresh air at the compressor intake (A) and, after precompressing it, passes the air on to the individual engine cylinders via the compressor outlet (B), boost air pipe (110/6), inter-cooler (110/2), and boost air manifold (110/1).
