Cylinder Bore Measurement

Using a suitable bore gauge measure cylinders as shown in the illustration above

Cylinder Diameter Specifications:
Standard size: 87.0 mm
Group code letter A: 87.000-87.006 mm
Group code letter X: 87.006-87.012 mm
Group code letter B: 87.012-87.018 mm
Wear limit in longitudinal and transverse direction: 0.200 mm
Permissible difference of cylinder shape:
When new: 0.000-0.014 mm
Wear limit: 0.050
Out-of-roundness: 0.070 mm

If Cylinder bores do not meet specification, install new cylinder liners, refer to Recondition Cylinder Block (Crankcase). Service and Repair
