Acoustic Alarm Function
MODEL: 202, as of 1.6.97 up to 31.5.98
208, 210 up to 31.5.98 with code (551a) Anti-theft alarm (ATA)
The PSE control module (combined) (A37) controls the acoustic signal sequence. The sequence differs depending on the national version.
- EEC: Alarm horn (H3) 30 seconds long at intervals of 1.6 Hz
- (USA): Alarm horn (H3) 60 seconds long at intervals of 1.6 Hz
- (B), (BB), (NL): Alarm siren with auxiliary battery (H3/1) 30 seconds at intervals of 1.6 Hz.
The alarm horn (H3) is actuated directly by the PSE control module. The alarm siren with auxiliary battery (H3/1) is actuated by the signal acquisition and actuation module (SAM) (N10/1) via the CAN bus.
NOTE: The alarm can be discontinued by activating or deactivating the ATA. After discontinuation of the alarm the ATA remains active.
MODEL: 202, 208, 210 as of 1.6.98 with code (551a) Anti-teft alarm (ATA)
The acoustic alarm is triggered automatically by the alarm signal siren with additional battery (H3/1). The sequence of the acoustic signals can differ depending on how the alarm was triggered and which country is coded in the alarm signal siren with additional battery (H3/1).
- ECE:
30 second long tone signals at intervals of 1.6 Hz
- (USA):
60 second long tone signals at intervals of 1.6 Hz
30 seconds pause
60 second long tone signals at intervals of 1.6 Hz
The siren coding can be programmed with the version coding for the ATA.
NOTE
- The alarm can be terminated by activating or deactivating the ATA.
- The alarm cannot be interrupted by disconnecting the connection lead to the alarm signal siren with additional battery (H3/1).
- The alarm sequence can deviate from the coding when the connection between the alarm signal siren and PSE control module is interrupted.
