Timing Component Alignment Marks




Note: Mercedes Benz does not provide precise timing marks for the camshafts. Correct engine timing is achieved when certain conditions are met. Refer to Camshaft, Engine : Adjustments

CAUTION! Incorrect setting/adjustment without the use of special tools could damage or break the camshafts. Valves could also be bent through contact with the piston crowns. Always note installation instructions and use specified special tools, procedures, and sequences.
