Startglowing Design/Task/Function

Task
Controlling heating of the glow plugs when the engine is started.

Function
Startglowing is commenced by turning the glow/starter switch (S2/2) to position 3. The glow output stage (N14/2) is supplied with a signal from the DFI control module (N3/8) and is started. Consequently, voltage continues to be supplied to the glow plugs (R9). Startglowing is terminated and afterglowing commenced as a result of a voltage drop at the DFI control module (N3/8).
