A/C Compressor Cut-Out

Design

Task
Switching off A/C compressor in order to improve engine output when starting-off.

Function
The Tempmatic air conditioning pushbutton control module (N19/1) or the automatic air conditioning pushbutton control module (N22) is supplied with a signal by the IFI control module (N3/7), which switches the A/C compressor off or on depending on engine load and speed.

A/C compressor switched off:
at engine load > 90 % AND engine speed < 1050 rpm

A/C compressor switched on:
at engine load < 90 % OR engine speed > 2500 rpm
