Deactivation of Anti-Theft Alarm (ATA), Function
The anti-theft alarm (ATA) is deactivated by:
- unlocking the vehicle centrally using the transmitter key
- unlocking the vehicle centrally by opening a front door
- unlocking the vehicle centrally via the lock switches (only (USA), (J)).
The Pneumatic systems equipment (PSE) control module (combined) (A37) receives the command "unlock vehicle" via CAN and then deactivates all alarm inputs.
The ATA is not deactivated if the vehicle is unlocked
- via the interior central locking switch (S6/1s2) or
- via the emergency opening function.
NOTE: Deactivating the ATA results in the cancelation of a previously triggered alarm.
