AR67.10-P-1000K Remove/Install Windshield


Shown On Model 208.3:






Remove
1 Prepare glue cartridge
2 Remove both panels on outside of A-pillar
3 Remove molding on windshield
4 Remove wiper system
5 Remove rain sensor
6 Remove inside rearview mirror - Models 208.435/445/447/465
7 Remove holder (2) on left and right at bottom of A-pillar

DANGER: Risk of injury from slipping when clamping blade in the multicutter and from glass splinters when cutting out bonded windows
- Always interrupt air supply when inserting or removing blade.
- Wear protective gloves and eye protection


8 Cut windshield out with cutting blade

9 Remove windshield from body with suction cup tools

See "Commercially Available Tools - Suction Cup" given below.

Install
10 Replace window rubber spacers

NOTE: Do not remove protective foil

11 Prepare window for installation

12 Prepare body flange for installing window
13 Align windshield in body opening
14 Remove protective foil from window rubber spacers
15 Open window in driver's door

CAUTION: This prevents the windshield from being pressed outwards by the air pressure when a door is closed before the bond has completely cured.

16 Applying glue

See "Commercially Available Tools - Betagun 2K electric cartridge gun" given below.

NOTE: Height of glue bead approx. 13 mm

CAUTION: Install window within 10 minutes before adhesive force of glue starts to decrease.

17 Install windshield

See "Commercially Available Tools - Suction Cup" given below.

NOTE: Curing time is approx. 1 hour, measured from the time the windshield is installed

18 Install molding on windshield
19 Install both panels on outside of A-pillar
20 Install wiper system
21 Install inside rearview mirror
22 Install rain sensor
23 Clean windshield
24 Reinitialize rain sensor

NOTE: Engine hood and driver's door must be closed.
