B. Assembly of Illuminated Door Sill Trim Panel

1. Remove installation kit from the boxes and verify all the parts.





1. Attach illumination foil (3) with an adhesive tape to the underside of the new metal door sill panel (1, Figure 2). The silver side of the illumination foil should be on the bottom and exiting wires and connector (5) in the rear.

2. Place new door sill panel (1) with attached illumination foil on top of the original door sill panel removed from the vehicle (2) and mark the location of exiting wires as indicated by the arrow in Figure 2.

3. Drill 20 mm DIA hole (4) in the original door sill panel (2) removed from the vehicle (Figure 2).

Note:
Make sure there are no sharp edges around the hole that could cut through the wire.

4. Insert connector (5) and wire from illumination foil (3) through the hole (4) in the original door sill panel. Peel off backing from the adhesive strips on the new metal door sill panel (1) and join to the original door sill panel (2). Make sure the new panel is evenly placed on top of the original one.





5. Secure wire from the illumination foil on the underside of the joined door sill trim panels with adhesive tape (6) (Figure 3). Apply felt (7) to prevent wire nicking as shown by the arrow in Figure 3.

6. Repeat the procedure for the other side.
