WATER ENTERS IN AREA OF SOFT TOP WEATHERSTRIPS

In the case of complaints regarding water entry, the problem can be eliminated by resealing or installing improved weatherstrips.

If repair is necessary, follow the procedures in the attached Work Instructions no. 306, depending on the complaint.

The Work instructions are divided into the following sections:

A. Water Entry at A-pillar.

B. Water Entry at Roof Header (Front Area of Soft Top).

C. Water Entry at Weatherstrip Joints at Side of Soft Top.

D. Water Entry at Mirror Triangle.

CAUTION!
Do not use soap and water solution when installing weatherstrips. Moisten weatherstrips or rails with rubber installation fluid, part number 000 989 O3 67. It ensures that weatherstrips will not slide in the rails after the fluid has dried. The content of one container rubber installation fluid is sufficient for all of the steps listed in the Work Instructions.
