Connect injection nozzle (50) to tester (052) 000 589 00 68 00, pump forcibly 5 times; to do this, close valve (a).
Note: Only clean test oil or diesel fuel may be used for the test.
Caution: When testing an injection nozzle, on no account place your hand into the spray of a nozzle. The spray penetrates deeply into the skin and destroys the tissue. The fuel which gets into the bloodstream may cause blood poisoning.
Test chatter by slowly operating hand lever (b), about 1 stroke per second.
Check spray pattern; with short, rapid strokes, about 2 strokes per second, the spray must be ejected cleanly and in a cloud pattern.
A - stringy spray pattern "poor"
B - closed spray pattern "good"
Test ejection pressure or opening pressure by opening valve (a) and slowly operating hand lever (b) (at least 1 stroke per second).
Specifications: 115 +8 bar for new nozzles
110 bar for used nozzles.
