With Generic Scan Tool

Connect scan tool according to connection diagram. Generic Scan Tool (Only used for Diagnostic Module DTC's)

- Follow scan tool manufacturer's instructions.

NOTE: DTC's which have been stored due to testing or disconnecting of lines must be erased from the DTC memory at the end of testing.

NOTE: A generic scan tool will only access Diagnostic Module codes. All other modules/systems require the use of either a Mercedes Hand-Held Tester or an impulse counter scan tool.
