Soft top cover (7) push aside and remove screw (10) (position A)
Soft top place in vertical position (position A)
Note: Support the soft top with wooden pieces, each 300 mm long (arrow), at the left and right side cloth holding brace, to prevent the soft top from collapsing.

2. Cover soft top fabric cover with paper.

3. Fold cover toward front and loosen rail from cover (Figure 4).
4. Remove sealing rope remains from soft top fabric cover and bow.

Note: Use a wad (or clump) of butyl rope to remove the remaining sealant residue by dabbing.

5. Scribe the new positioning of the modified rail onto the soft top fabric cover (see Figure 5).

Note: Measured from the center, the new marking should flow into the previous marking on the left and right side after approximately 400 mm.

6. Apply MB special adhesive to rail and glueing area of soft top fabric cover (Figure 6). Allow time for glue to tack up.
7. Position rail at new marking and glue it to soft top fabric cover (step 5). Hold it in place for glue to set up, using 6" pieces of 1/2" wooden dowel and vise grips.

8. Glue spoiler to bow using MB special adhesive (center arrow, Figure 7).
9. Apply thin bead of MB glass sealant over the whole length (above the mounting holes) of the bow or spoiler (Figure 7).

10. Position rail on bow, fasten with vise grips and punch mounting holes with an awl (Figure 8).
11. Fasten screws.
12. Place fabric retaining rail in upright position.

13. Push aside soft top fabric cover at rail and fasten screw (Figure 9).
14. Close soft top completely and lock into position using soft top switch or manual tools.

15. Glue fabric covers to bow (Figure 10).
16. Open soft top partially, and with ignition key in "off" position, place soft top in vertical position.

Note: Support the soft top with wooden pieces, each 300 mm long (Figure 11, arrow), at the left and right side cloth holding brace, to prevent the soft top from collapsing.

17. Place headliner mounting bar (12) on rail and fasten with screws (17) (Figure 12).
