A. WOOD CONSOLE REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
Evaluation of wood panels received by the Warranty Inspection Department indicates that the damage is often due to improper panel removal and installation. Following the described procedures will help eliminate this type of damage.
Any wood consoles damaged due to incorrect removal/installation procedures will be returned to the dealer and the warranty claim will be debited.
Correct Removal/Installation Procedure:
Caution: Do not use sharp edged tools when removing the storage compartment, since the wooden cover (6) can be damaged. The wooden cover must only be lifted using a small removal hook on the screw hole (arrow) of the storage compartment housing.
B. STORAGE COMPARTMENT HOUSING AVAILABLE SEPARATELY
Complete center console wood panels are being exchanged because of problems with the operation of the storage compartment. The storage compartment housing is available as a separate part.
Replace storage compartment housing by following procedure in section A Transfer the wood trim from the old to the new housing. After installing the new housing assembly, verify proper opening and closing operation.
Please be informed that warranty claims for replacement of the complete wood console will no longer be accepted in cases where only the storage compartment operation was faulty.
