ATA Anti-Towing Sensor, Function
The electrodes in the ATA inclination sensor (B33) are partially immersed in an electrolyte (electrically conductive fluid). Changes in the resistance between the electrodes allow the sensor to recognize a change in the inclination of the vehicle.
When the vehicle is parked the value for the vehicle position is stored.
When the vehicle is moved enough to exceed a certain inclination in the longitudinal and/or lateral direction for a certain period of time with the anti-theft alarm (ATA) activated, the ATA inclination sensor (B33) sends a signal to the ATA control module (N26).
