DTC: P0500 Vehicle speed sensor malfunction

Activation requirement CHECK ENGINE lamp:
Two consecutive trips with failure.

Activation of CHECK ENGINE lamp:
At start of next trip.

Test to detect fault:
The engine control module checks the vehicle speed signal. With an implausible vehicle speed signal, a message and the recorded speed is sent to the diagnostic module via CAN.
