DTC P0327

DTC: P0327 Knock sensor 1 circuit low input

Activation requirement CHECK ENGINE lamp:
Two consecutive trips with fault.

Activation of CHECK ENGINE lamp:
At start of next trip.

Test to detect fault:
The engine control module recognizes sensor signals as implausible if they do not exceed a specified signal level threshold. The test is performed at high engine speed with the knock sensor system activated. If a fault is detected, ignition to all cylinders is retarded and a message is sent to the diagnostic module via CAN.
