Diagnostic Module (DM) OBD II Code Index
The Diagnostic Module displays DTC's that are generated by itself as well as other control modules. Not all faults of these other systems are stored in the Diagnostic Module.NOTE:
- It is only possible to read codes from the Diagnostic Module with the Mercedes HHT or an OBD II compliant generic scan tool.
- A generic scan tool will only access Diagnostic Module codes. All other modules/systems require the use of either a Mercedes Hand-Held Tester or an impulse counter scan tool.
Alldata Editors Note:
When the following charts refer to testing of another system, Mercedes Benz recommends testing the complete system (ie, Test HFM-SFI System). For your benefit, we have included links to the appropriate section of the system test programs. (ie, ETP SFI -> x.x) This in no way ensures complete correction of all faults of those systems, as not all faults can be read through the Diagnostic Module.
