Fillpipe Restrictor: Description and Operation

Fillpipe Restrictor (45):

PURPOSE
The fill pipe restrictor (45) prevents the introduction of leaded fuels in vehicles which require unleaded fuels. Leaded fuel dispensing nozzles, which by law are of a larger diameter than that of unleaded fuel nozzles, will not pass through the fill pipe restrictor.

The introduction of leaded fuels will hinder the operation of the oxygen sensor and the catalytic converter.

At the opening of the fuel filler neck.
