SOFT TOP ALIGNMENT FIXTURE
The correct function of the electronically/hydraulically controlled soft top is ensured only if the bolt-on and connecting points are in precise compliance with the design specifications.
For this purpose, an alignment fixture is available as a special tool for accident repairs. It serves to check the most important points on the body and to hold new parts in position for the welding process (Figure 1).
The alignment fixture mounts to the base of the straightening set and consists of a support frame and an alignment angle set.
The support frame, special tool no. 124 589 O3 23 00, is fastened to the approved Celette Bench crossmembers.
The alignment angle set, special tool no. 124 589 14 23 00, consists of 12 model-specific locating members which can be fastened to the support frame. With these locating members, all locating points important for the operation of the the soft top can be checked or properly aligned during accident repairs.
