Roll Bar: Testing and Inspection

Testing function of roll-over bar

Rotary switch (1) on one of the two rear axle switches (S83/2 or S83/3) turn to "Arretiert" (arrested).

Drive the vehicle to test. When the brakes are applied hard at a speed of approx. 5- 0 km/h the roll-over bar should actuate (crash actuation). After testing turn rotary switch (1) back to "Function".

Note: A chattering noise is produced when the roll-over bar extends. If the roll-over bar has extended (crash actuation), it is necessary to reengage the lock by moving the actuating element up before it is possible to retract the roll-over bar.

Retract roll-over bar. For this purpose press switch (S83 or S83/4) up (extend) (min. 5s) until the lock engages audibly. Then press the switch down (retract) until the rollover has retracted.
