1. Disconnect control rod from selector lever.
2. Set range selector lever into N position.
3. Loosen counternut and adjust control rod lengthwise so that there is approximately 0.004 inch clearance between selector level and N stop on gear change plate.
4. Attach control rod and tighten counternut.
