ABS/ASR Control Unit

ABS/ASR Control Unit:

The acceleration slip control (ASR II) has been revised and is now known as ASR III.

ABS is standard equipment in 140 models. ASR is standard in models 140.051/057 and optional in other 140 models.

The ABS and ABS/ASR control units were revised and are now equipped with diagnostics. Recognized malfunctions are stored in the control unit and can be retrieved in the 38-pole test connection for diagnosis using an impulse counter, and subsequently checked with the socket box tester. For ABS/ASR tests, see ELECTRONIC ACCELERATOR SYSTEM TESTS.

ABS/ASR Control Unit And Base Module:

The control units are located in the module box. Voltage is supplied by the base module

There are four different versions of the ABS/ASR control unit. This reflects the different performance maps for the electronic accelerator system.

There are two versions with speed sensor output and two without. This model uses one of the units with speed signal output.
