Gear Sensor/Switch: Description and Operation
Throttle Valve Map:
If reverse gear is selected, the system control receives an input signal from the starter lockout/backup lamp switch. This selects a throttle valve map in the system control. During reverse driving up to approx. half of the pedal travel, the throttle valve opens more slowly. This improves driveability in reverse.
