Drive Belt Tensioner: Service and Repair
Second Version With Internal DamperNOTE: Numbers in parentheses ( ) indicate a component or tool in the associated illustration.
1. Remove fan shroud.
2. Remove viscous fan clutch.
3. Slacken bolts (23) of belt pulley of coolant pump (24).
4. Remove poly V-belt (27).
5. Unbolt belt pulley of coolant pump (24).
6. Unbolt belt pulley of tensioning device (7).
7. Unbolt tensioning device (14).
8. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
- Tighten tensioning device (14) to 25 Nm
- Tighten belt pulley of tensioning device (7) to 45 Nm
- Tighten bolts (23) of belt pulley of coolant pump (24) to 32 Nm
