Replacing End Cover In Camshafts

Replacement
1. Remove camshaft.
2. Pry out cover (1) with a screwdriver.
3. Clean hollow-drilled camshaft (26).
4. Inspect bore (B).
5. Knock in end cover (1) with drift (2) (shop.made tool).
6. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
- Use new end cover (1).
- The end cover must not be seated on the end of the bore.
- It is essential to maintain the insertion depth (size E).

Bore (B): 14.00 - 14.04 mm
Camshaft (26): inlet, exhaust at rear
End Cover DIN 443 (1): A14
Insertion Depth Size (E): 9.3 mm
Inspection Drift (2) Dimensions:
d: 11.7 mm
D: 13.7 mm
H: 4.3 mm
r: 1 mm
r1: 35 mm
