ALL MODELS WITH CONTINOUS FUEL INJECTION (CFI) IMPROVED SWITCHOVER VALVE

As of April 1991 production an improved switchover valve (part number 00 1 540 70 97, product on code 91 T 214) was installed in all models with CFI (CFI was previously known as CIS-E).

The improved switchover valve will eliminate complaints of valve sticking.

An identical version of the valve from a different manufacturer (part number 001 540 86 97) is still used in production without change.

The PDC's will only stock part number 001 540 86 97.

When diagnosing the EGR, air injection or fuel ventilation systems, please ensure that only part number 001 540 86 97 is installed when replacing a faulty valve.
