Replace Wiper Rubber For Windshield







Remove
1 Remove wiper blade (1)
2 Pull retaining springs (2) out of rubber profile (3) toward open end of rubber profile
3 Detach rubber profile (3) from retaining brackets (4) of wiper blade
- Push a suitable screwdriver (5) behind the rubber profile and detach by angling the screwdriver

Install
4 Suspend new rubber profile (3) from wiper blade (1) retaining brackets (4)
5 Slide retaining springs into open end of rubber profile
- The bulge must point towards the windshield

6 Install wiper blade
7 Actuate windshield wipers and windshield washer system
- The swept area must be wiped clear. The rubber lip of the wiper blade must flip over when the blade changes direction. If this does not occur, correct twist of wiper arms so that end of wiper arms are parallel to wiping area. If considerable amount of soiling is present, clean windshield.
