Washer Fluid Heater: Description and Operation

The windshield washer fluid reservoir is heated by a heat exchanger connected to the engine cooling circuit. The hoses from the reservoir to the washer nozzles and the nozzles themselves are electrically heated. A thermoswitch switches on the electrically heated components of the windshield washer at an outside temperature below 41°F and off again at 59°F.
