Removing and Installing Transmission Front Cover

1. Screw two bolts into the threaded bores (arrows) and use these to pull out the front transmission cover (10).

Do not use the two bolts to press off the cover (10). If necessary, loosen the cover with a screwdriver.

INSTALLATION NOTE
Clean sealing surface of front transmission cover. Check gasket for damage and replace if necessary. The gasket can generally be re-used several times. It must not be coated with sealant. Coat bolts with non-hardening sealant.
