Whistle Noise (Oil Flow Noise )In Reverse

CAUSE:
- Fluid intake noise of primary pump when transmission fluid is cold.
- Noise can also originate at the throttle bore (arrow) of large intermediate plate during filling of LB3 for Reverse engagement.

REMEDY:
1. Chamfer both edges (upper and lower) of throttle bore (arrow) of large intermediate plate.

Service Tip: Use 6mm drill bit by hand to chamfer edges.

2. Check LB3 drainage valve (86) in valve body upper parting surface for proper seat.

- Correct transmission fluid level is critical with this complaint.
- Other than above listed recommendations, there are no known remedies to this noise complaint.
