Complaint:
Transmission Locks-Up in Reverse

Cause:
Belleville spring washer (cup, spring) of reverse clutch LB3 binding on transmission casing and breaking reverse piston LB3.

Remedy:
Install plastic insert (part no. 201 272 00 84) into transmission case to prevent binding of belleville spring-washer (see illustration).

Replace reverse piston LB3.
