Removal and Installation of Control Unit



REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION OF LEVEL CONTROL UNIT

Preceding work: Pressure oil system emptied. Procedures

Model 124





Pressure lines (P1, S1, S2):
disconnect, connect at level control unit using an open box wrench 129 589 00 03 00. Tightening torque 14 Nm.

S1 and S2 = 14 Nm
P1 = 20 Nm

Return lines (T1):
disconnect, connect at level control unit using open box wrench 129 589 00 03 00. Tightening torque 20 Nm.

Connecting rod (7) and control rod:
detach and attach at level control unit (3). Replace self-locking hex. nut (7a), 10 Nm.

Level control unit (3):
remove, install, 10 Nm

Ball joint on connecting/control rod:
check for ease of movement.

Vehicle level:
check, adjust.

Headlamps:
adjust.

Removal, Installation





1 Disconnect pressure lines (P1, S1) and return line (T1) using open box wrench.

Installation Note
Check vehicle level and adjust if necessary.

S1 and S2 = 14 Nm.
P1 and T1 = 20 Nm.





2 Unscrew self-locking hex. nut (7a) and detach connecting rod (7).

Note: It must not be possible to pull ball pin out of ball socket.

Installation Note
Replace self-locking hex. nut, 10 Nm.

Model 124 in bore "b".





3 Unbolt both hexagon bolts (arrows) and remove level control unit (3) from bracket.

Installation Note
Tightening torque 10 Nm.

4 Install in reverse sequence.
