Mixture Control Unit
Component Locations:
1. Disconnect the NEG. battery terminal and insulate.
2. Remove the air cleaner assembly.
3. Remove the fuel and injection lines from the fuel distributor, fuel injectors and the fuel pressure regulator.
4. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the electro-hydraulic actuator and the air flow sensor position indicator.
5. Loosen the large hose clamp at the air guide housing.
6. Remove the mounting nuts for the mixture control unit.
7. Lift off the mixture control unit (detach the idle air hose).
8. Reinstall in the reverse manner.
9. Run the engine and check for fuel leaks.

CAUTION: Screws of different lengths are used to fasten the air guide housing to the air flow sensor housing. If replacing either component, make sure that the screw below the air flow sensor position indicator is reinstalled correctly. If a longer screw is used the air flow sensor position indicator will be damaged.
