SUBJECT: POWER SEAT ADJUSTMENT PROXIMITY SWITCHES MODEL 129 WITH AFTERMARKET CELLULAR PHONE INSTALLATION
When operating the power seat switch while telephoning, or with the telephone system on, the power seat adjustment may malfunction. High-frequency signals generated by the telephone system may be interfering with the normal function of the seat proximity switches.
The proximity switches are located behind the left and right B-pillar panels.
To prevent this fram occurring, modified proximity switches should be installed when installing a cellular telephone. These switches are installed in vehicles within the Effective Serial Number Range below and may be installed in vehicles prior to production phase-in.
