Throttle Body: Service and Repair

Component Locations:

1. Disconnect the NEG. battery terminal and insulate.
2. Remove the air cleaner assembly.
3. Remove the mixture control unit. Refer to MIXTURE CONTROL UNIT.
4. Disconnect the throttle linkage and return spring on the throttle valve housing.
5. Remove the nuts securing the throttle valve housing to the intake manifold.
6. Remove the vacuum lines and electrical connector and lift out the throttle valve housing.
7. Using a new gasket reinstall the throttle valve housing in reverse manner.
8. Verify correct throttle adjustment.
9. Run the engine and check for fuel leaks.
