Fuel Distributor Control Piston Sealing Ring

Renewing Fuel Distributor Seal:

1. Remove the fuel distributor, Refer to FUEL DISTRIBUTOR replacement.
2. With an appropriate depth gauge measure the position of the closing plug and note.
3. Mark the position of the closing plug with a scribe.

Adjusting Tool:

4. Remove the closing plug with special tool (102 589 00 07 00).
5. Carefully replace the rubber sealing ring.
6. Reinstall the closing plug to its prior position in the fuel distributor (scribe mark).
7. Verify the position of the closing plug with a depth gauge.

NOTE: Failure to reinstall the closing plug to its original position will result in an incorrect basic control piston setting.
