NOTE: Test should be conducted with engine at normal operating temperature.

1. Detach the vacuum line at the right angled port (A) of the purge valve and connect a vacuum gauge.
2. Start the engine and slowly increase engine speed to 3000 RPM and observe the vacuum gauge.

^ No vacuum should be present at idle.
^ Vacuum should commence as engine speed increases. If not test the switchover valve and vacuum lines for leaks or restrictions.
