Aspirator: Description and Operation

Aspirator Blower Location:

PURPOSE

The aspirator blower, which is located below the passenger side dash outlet, provides continuous air flow past the in-car (interior) temperature sensor for increased sensor accuracy.

OPERATION

When the ignition is switched "ON", the blower aspirator continuously pulls small amounts of interior air passed the in-car temperature sensor. If the aspirator fails to operate, the ACC system will experience slow response to temperature changes and possibly inaccurate interior temperatures.
