Engine Mount: Service and Repair

FRONT

EXCEPT 300E & TE W/4MATIC

1. Disable airbag system.
2. Disconnect air scoop from air filter.
3. Support engine with suitable engine lifting equipment.
4. Disconnect fan cowl and position over fan.
5. Remove right engine mount shield and mount upper attaching bolt, Fig. 1.
6. Remove lower engine compartment cover.
7. Remove left engine mount upper attaching bolt.
8. Reverse procedure to install.

300E & TE W/4MATIC

1. Disable airbag system.
2. Support engine using suitable equipment.
3. Remove front engine mount washer attaching bolt, Fig. 2.
4. Remove engine mount lower attaching bolts, then remove.
5. Reverse to install.

Fig. 3 Rear Engine Mount:

REAR

300E, E 2.6, TE, CE

1. Disable airbag system.
2. Support engine and transmission using suitable equipment.
3. Remove engine mount upper attaching nut, Fig. 3.
4. Remove engine mount lower attaching bolts, then remove mount.
5. Reverse to install.

300E & TE W/4MATIC

1. Disable airbag system.
2. Support engine and transmission using suitable equipment.
3. Remove engine support attaching bolts, then remove, Fig. 2.
4. Remove rear mount through bolt, then upper attaching bolts, then remove.
5. Reverse to install.
