A. Modifying Lever-Type Valve Spring Compressor

The previous lever-type valve spring compressor, part no. 601 589 02 61 00 can be provided with an additional forked head (13, Figure 1). Thus the spring compressor can also be used for engines 104 and 119. To attach the forked head, an 8 mm bore must be drilled in the area between the existing forked heads (Figure 1).
The part number of the modified lever-type valve spring compressor must then be changed to 119 589 01 61 00.

B. Modified Scope of Delivery

The tool is now supplied in two separate parts, the lever-type compressor (basic tool) and the compressor fittings.
