1. Open caliper bleeder screw and pump brake fluid from rear brake circuit.
2. Disconnect frame floor holder brake hose from caliper assembly. Cap all open lines, Fig. 9.
3. Remove caliper attaching bolts, then the caliper from disc rotor.
4. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Calipers from different manufacturers may be installed on the rear axle, however, the calipers used must have the same caliper piston diameter.
b. Carefully connect all brake lines and/or hoses.
c. Check brake system for leaks.

1. Open caliper bleeder screw, and pump brake fluid from rear brake circuit.
2. On 1st version (early production) vehicles or vehicles with starting torque compensation, disconnect and cap brake line from caliper assembly, Fig. 7.
3. On 2nd version (later production) vehicles, loosen frame floor bracket brake hose from brake line. Disconnect brake line from caliper. Cap all open connections.
4. On all models, loosen locking plate, if so equipped.
5. Remove caliper attaching bolts.
6. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. When installing a new caliper on diagonal swing axles located behind axle center, the elevation on the caliper piston must be on top, Fig. 8.
b. When installing a new caliper on diagonal swing axles with starting torque compensation located in front of axle center, caliper piston elevation must be at the bottom, Fig. 8.
c. When connecting brake lines and/or hoses, ensure lines and/or hoses are not twisted.
d. After caliper is installed, check brake system for leaks.
